Nog niet heel veel voortgang. Een van de kleine roestplekken uitgeslepen en kaal geborsteld. Verder wat informatie ingewonnen over het verkleinen van de wielkasten. Een standaard LT40 is voorzien van dubbellucht. Echter is de 4x4 variant daar niet mee uitgerust en zijn de kasten dus twee keer zo groot als noodzakelijk. Het plan dus is om deze te gaan verkleinen aangezien er toch geslepen en gelast moet worden. Dit verbreed de vrije tussenruimte met in totaal bijna 50cm(!).

Work is still in progress.. One of the small rust spots has been carved out and bare brushed today. Other than that, are we still researching on creating more internal space in the LT40. A possibility may be created by minimizing the wheel arches. The standard LT40 is equipped with double wheels in the back. However, this specific 4x4 variant is equipped with single wheels in the back and the wheel arches surrounding them are twice as big as necessary. Le plan de campagne: reconstructing the wheel arches, enlarging the indoor space of the LT40 with a total +/- 50 cm (!)

Glove compartment

The old glove compartment had a lot of holes drilled in it. These where used for cables and such during the truck time at the fire department. The holes don't have a purpose anymore, the time had come to renew.
